Exchange programme

NAVIGATE provides the opportunity to perform an exchange programme to early and mid-carrier researchers from within or outside the consortium. NAVIGATE offers mobility grants for these abroad visits.

Modellers and researchers will share experiences on IAM models, coding and development practices, data analysis, and policy-relevant analyses and research focusing on climate change mitigation, impacts, and adaptation. During the visiting period researchers will have the opportunity to interact with people from different cultural and educational backgrounds.

Target participants

Early and mid-carrier researchers from within or outside the NAVIGATE’s consortium with a keen interest in integrated assessment modelling methods and data analysis, focusing on climate change mitigation, impacts, and adaptation. Moreover, over-arching issues including sustainable development, the implementation of the Paris Agreement, and transformative change can be potential topics for these exchanges.

Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change (CMCC) coordinates this educational activity and can provide a channel between the researchers and the host institutions in order to facilitate the exchange programme. However, we encourage the candidates to establish prior connections with the preferred institution (partner of NAVIGATE project) in order to find a contact person at the host institution who will give his/her availability to receive the candidate and to discuss with him/her the plan of activities to be implemented during the exchange.

Exchange Programme regulations

NAVIGATE project permits to set up exchanges for 5-7 early and mid-carrier researchers from within or outside the consortium during the duration of the project.

Each exchange must cover a minimum period of 2 months and a maximum period of 4 months at one of the NAVIGATE consortium institutions.

Priority will be given to exchanges between non-European and European institutions.
